September 29, 2026 | Project SERVE Completion Rites
Norzagaray College, in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Norzagaray, successfully held the Completion Rites of Project SERVE (Solo-Parent Empowerment through Resilient Vocational Education), a community extension initiative aimed at strengthening the skills, employability, self-reliance, and livelihood opportunities of solo-parent beneficiaries.
A significant milestone of the program was the 100% passing rate of its 14 beneficiaries, with all 14 successfully earning TESDA National Certificate II (NC II) certification in Food and Beverage Services. This achievement reflects the beneficiariesโ dedication and the programโs commitment to providing practical skills that can support employment and income-generating opportunities.
The activity also recognized 20 volunteers and facilitatorsโseven (7) faculty members, four (4) staff members, and nine (9) student volunteersโfor their valuable contributions to the successful implementation of Project SERVE. Their involvement in training, technical and instructional assistance, preparation of materials and equipment, beneficiary support, and program coordination demonstrated the important role of volunteerism in community extension.
Through Project SERVE, Norzagaray College and MSWDO continue to advance skills development, volunteerism, social responsibility, and sustainable community empowerment, translating education and service into meaningful impact for solo parents and their families.
