The Community Extension Services (CES), in partnership with the College of Computing Studies (CCS), successfully held another session of the EdukalEDAD Program, an initiative designed to provide elderly learners with opportunities to adapt to the fast-evolving digital world. In this session, Mr. Richter Lapig, an instructor under CCS, guided elderly participants in learning how to use digital applications such as Shopee, Lazada, Facebook Marketplace, and alike, as well as e-wallet platforms like GCash. The lecture went beyond technical know-how, highlighting the practical uses of these tools in everyday life, such as convenient shopping, safe online transactions, and easier access to services, while also stressing the importance of digital safety to avoid scams, fraud, and hacking. This initiative reflects the commitment of CES and CCS to extend their resources and knowledge beyond the classroom, empowering elderlies to adapt to the fast-changing digital world while ensuring their safety and confidence in using technology.
