The Norzagaray College Community Extension Services, in collaboration with the College of Hospitality Management, successfully conducted the coordination meeting to proposed the project SERVE for solo parents on February 11, 2026.

The initiative is being carried out in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Norzagaray and the Solo Parent Federation, reflecting a strong multi-sectoral collaboration aimed at uplifting vulnerable sectors of the community.

Key areas discussed during the meeting included the program’s objectives, roles, and responsibilities of each partner, as well as the identification and screening process of beneficiaries to ensure that support reaches the intended participants. In line with skills development and employability, the meeting highlighted the requirements for the Food and Beverage Services (FBS) NC II training and the corresponding TESDA assessment. Additionally, provisions for starter kits, support services, and participant welfare were carefully planned to ensure that beneficiaries are equipped not only with technical skills but also with the necessary resources to begin their livelihood journey.

This preparatory activity marked a significant step toward the implementation of Project SERVE: Solo-Parent Empowerment through Resilient Vocational Education, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.
