The Norzagaray College Community Extension Services (CES), in partnership with the NSTP, successfully conducted the Capacity Building Program on Hydroponics and Urban Gardening on February 14, 2026. This initiative equipped students with practical knowledge and innovative approaches to food production, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

The program featured comprehensive discussions and live demonstrations facilitated by invited resource speakers, Mr. John Ednar Francisco Sinlocco and Ms. Shane T. Sumaway. Their expertise provided participants with a deeper understanding of modern, space-efficient, and cost-effective agricultural practices suitable for urban settings.

Throughout the activity, NSTP students actively participated in sessions covering the introduction to hydroponics and urban gardening, demonstration of low-cost gardening methods, and the basic setup and maintenance of simple hydroponic systems.
