College of Education conducts Face-to-Face Final Demonstration Teaching for Pre-Service Teachers Post-Pandemic

In May 2022, Norzagaray College, through its College of Education, successfully conducted the face-to-face Final Demonstration Teaching of all fourth-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) students, marking a significant milestone in the gradual return to onsite academic activities following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Final Demonstration Teaching was carried out in the students’ respective DepEd cooperating schools, allowing pre-service teachers to demonstrate their pedagogical skills, classroom management, and mastery of subject matter in actual learning environments. The activity served as a culminating requirement of the Teaching Internship program and an essential component in assessing students’ readiness for the teaching profession.

Strict coordination with cooperating schools ensured the smooth implementation of the activity, with health and safety protocols observed throughout the conduct of the demonstrations. Faculty supervisors and cooperating teachers jointly evaluated the student-teachers, providing professional feedback to further enhance their instructional competence.

The conduct of the face-to-face Final Demonstration Teaching aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by strengthening teacher preparation through authentic teaching experiences; SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, by prioritizing safety measures during onsite activities; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through sustained collaboration between Norzagaray College and its DepEd partner schools.
