The College of Computing Studies (CCS), in partnership with the Norzagaray College โ€“ Community Extension Services, successfully conducted the first training session of the Computer Literacy Program for PASKA. This meaningful initiative reflects CCSโ€™s commitment to extending digital education beyond the classroom and empowering catechists and church volunteers through technology-based learning. Session 1 focused on building foundational computer skills through Basic Keyboarding and an Introduction to Microsoft Word, providing participants with practical knowledge they can apply in their ministry and community service.

Throughout the training, participants took part in interactive keyboarding activities to practice proper typing techniques, learned about the basic parts and functions of a computer, and explored the Microsoft Word interface along with its essential tools. They also gained experience in creating, formatting, and saving simple documentsโ€”building practical skills they can immediately apply in their parish and community work.

With the guidance of CCS facilitators and student tutors, participants received hands-on support and personalized instruction, helping them gain confidence in using digital tools for lesson preparation, documentation, and communication within their parishes and communities. The College of Computing Studies and NC - Community Extension Services remain dedicated to promoting digital empowerment and community-centered learning through programs that bridge technology and service.
