The College of Computing Studies, in partnership with the Community Extension Services of Norzagaray College, successfully conducted Sessions 9 and 10 of the EduKalEDAD: Elder Enrichment Program, continuing its mission to promote digital literacy and lifelong learning among senior participants.

On March 3, 2026, Session 9 focused on Basic Computer Literacy and Digital Awareness, where participants were introduced to the fundamental parts of a computer and their functions. They also learned the proper and responsible use of social media, including how to identify fake or AI-generated videos, connect devices to WiFi manually and through QR codes, and explore the basic use of Messenger. The session emphasized the growing importance of digital awareness in helping elders stay informed, connected, and safe in the digital environment.

Meanwhile, on March 5, 2026, Session 10 centered on hands-on computer practice and basic Microsoft applications. Senior participants took part in guided typing exercises to improve keyboard familiarity and accuracy, engaged in practical computer activities using basic Microsoft tools, created and edited simple documents in Microsoft Word, and learned how to save and organize files for proper digital documentation. Through step-by-step instruction and actual application, the session further strengthened their confidence in using technology for everyday tasks.

These sessions reaffirm that digital literacy has no age limit. By equipping elders with essential computer and online skills, Norzagaray College continues to empower communities through inclusive education and meaningful extension initiatives. Teacher Volunteers for both sessions were Mr. Arman M. Bitancur and Mr. Richter Lapig.
