NC Library Marks National Book Week with Book Character Competition

NC library led by Mr. Arman Bitancur, together with Mr. Prince Jeffrey Gener, Assistant Librarian and members of NC Library Information Services Advocates (NCLISA) organized the National Book Week with the theme “Basa, Salin, Daloy” at the Atty. Amador Dela Merced Sports Complex (NC Gymnasium) on Thursday morning, October 1, 2026.

The program began after the flag raising ceremony hosted by Student Council officers.

The book character contestants were judged by Ms. Lalaine V Lopez, the Guidance Counselor, Mr. Green Lloyd Lapig, the College Nurse, and Ms. Rociel Enriquez, the Scholarship Coordinator.

The Book Character 2026 features 14 participants portraying their chosen characters:

Mae I. Tolentino (BSHM 3C) - Wednesday Addams

Abegaille M. Angeles (BSHM 1A) - Seraphim Angel

Christian James R. Vargas (BSCS/ ACT 2B) - Yoriichi Tsugikuni

Jerome Y. Mondano (BSCS/ACT 2B) - Trafalgar D. Law

John Andrew H. Bacolongan (BSCS/ ACT 2B) - Yami Sukehiro

Rhyniel Francheska DC. Mercado (BEED 2C) - Mama Mary

Lhance Ashley D. Rosalejos (BSED 1A) - Yor Forger

Nash Ezekiel S. Gonzales (BEED 2C) - Mr. Knight

Lucky Andrew V. De Silva (BEED 1A) - Harry Potter

Hernando Jr. A. Francisco (BEED 1B) - Hades

Jeanaly Princess S. Caspillo (BSED 1B) - Princess Jasmine

Mary Joy A. Cangayao (BSHM 2B) - Doña Victorina

After all the contestants presented their creativity, Ms. Nicole Adrayan, the Book Character 2025 winner, delivered her words of appreciation to the library department for conducting this kind of event and showcasing the creativity among students.
