ABSTRACT
The Philippines has been perpetually undergoing the development of New Manila International Airport. Airports play a critical role in the development of regional and local tourism. Air travel is an important part of tourism because it allows tourist to get to their destinations quickly and comfortably. This study was conducted in Richwell Colleges, Incorporated located at Plaridel, Bulacan. The main goal of this research was to assess the perspective of tourism students in the Development of New Manila International Airport, specifically in terms of job opportunities, environmental impact, socio-cultural aspects, and entrepreneurial ventures. This study was anchored to modernization theory which offers an overview of the process by which societies transition from pre-modern or traditional states to modern. The researchers used thematic analysis to examine qualitative data, a process that involves scouring data for recurring patterns to interpret and report. To analyze the data, thematic and content analyses were conducted using the NVivo Pro 14 software.9 In summary, the study affirmed the potential of the New Manila International Airport to drive economic growth, create jobs, and contribute to the overall development of the region.
