The College of Computing Studies (CCS), in partnership with the Norzagaray College โ Community Extension Services, successfully conducted Session 2 of the Computer Literacy Program for PASKA. Building on the foundational skills developed during the first session, this training further strengthened the digital competencies of catechists and church volunteers while continuing commitment to community centered digital education.
This session focused on Basic Microsoft PowerPoint, equipping participants with essential skills in creating organized, clear, and visually engaging presentations. In todayโs technology driven environment, the ability to present lessons effectively using digital tools plays a vital role in enhancing understanding and engagement, especially in parish based teaching and formation programs. Throughout the training, participants explored the PowerPoint interface and its key features, learned how to create and structure slides logically, applied themes and layouts to improve visual consistency, and incorporated images, text elements, and simple animations to make their presentations more dynamic and meaningful. Emphasis was also placed on clarity, readability, and thoughtful design to ensure that instructional materials remain effective and accessible.
With the guidance of CCS facilitators, student volunteers, and ICONS Officers, participants received hands on support and personalized assistance, allowing them to practice each step with confidence. The session fostered not only technical skill development but also creativity and confidence in delivering digital presentations.
Through initiatives like this, the College of Computing Studies, together with the Norzagaray College โ Community Extension Services, continues to connect technology with meaningful community service by equipping catechists with practical digital skills that strengthen lesson preparation, improve communication, and enrich their ministry within their respective parishes and communities.
